My Approach

I believe each of us has an inner guiding wisdom that instinctively knows which decisions and directions are best. When we listen to our symptoms, feelings, dreams, and reactions, it becomes possible to reconnect to that inner wisdom and to navigate through difficulties and challenges. Information that comes from within is the most powerful and important. Through a psychodynamic and body-based lens, I work with individuals in an approach that teaches them how to communicate, tolerate, and improve symptoms. Issues that present as anxiety, depression, fears, weight gain or loss, and insomnia are often symptoms that can teach us about what is working and what is no longer working in our lives. I can help turn old habits and responses into positive changes and create life-long tools for coping and moving forward. My approach is unique and effective. Our life experiences are etched into our memories, and we tend to react to life through the perspectives of what our past experiences have shown us. This can sometimes create problems in our lives when we react to present and future events from past references. Through a combination of approaches, I assist individuals in releasing reactions to  past events that can become stored in memory and body, and help restore the nervous system to balance.
